The NetApp FAS6080 is a single-chassis, 6U storage system built for demanding enterprise workloads. It runs on a single controller with four 64-bit, 2-core 2.80GHz processors and 32GB of memory, delivering reliable performance for critical applications. Supporting RAID 4 and RAID-DP, it ensures strong data protection in high-volume environments.
Connectivity features six 1Gb RJ45 Ethernet ports and eight 4Gb Fibre Channel SFP ports, while eight PCIe expansion slots allow additional network or storage interfaces. The system supports remote management, simplifying both configuration and maintenance. With a maximum of one controller per chassis, the FAS6080 is designed for straightforward deployment and scaling.
Accommodating up to 1,176 drives, the FAS6080 can reach a maximum capacity of 4,704TB (4.7PB). It works with DS14-Mk2-AT, DS14-Mk2-FC, DS14-Mk4-FC, DS2246, DS4243, DS4246, and DS4486 disk shelves to handle a variety of interfaces, including FC, MSATA, SATA, NL-SAS, SAS, and SSD. Measuring 10.32 inches (26.21 cm) in height, 17.53 inches (44.52 cm) in width, and 29 inches (73.66 cm) in depth, the chassis weighs up to 121.9 lbs (55.3 kg), offering a balanced blend of capacity, performance, and manageability for enterprise storage needs.
