HPE DL325 Gen10 Base Knowledge
HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server has a dense 1U chassis that accommodates up to 10 SFF, up to 4 LFF, or up to 10 NVMe drive options as well as up to 3 PCIe 3.0 slots. This Rack server can handle up to 16 DIMM slots per processor, 8 channels per processor, 2 DIMMs per channel. Mixing of x4 & x8 memory is not allowed.

HPE DL325 Gen10.

The DL325 Gen10 Rack Server supports AMD processors. If the Processor has a TPD greater than 170W it will replace the Standard Heatsink (P06775-001) with the High-Performance Heatsink (P06774-001). This system board (P07018-001) supports the AMD EPYC 7xx1 and the AMD EPYC 7xx2 Series is supported by this system board (P06774-001). If you install the AMD EPYC 7xx2, the Embedded 4x 1GbE network port is not equipped. Please take note of this.

HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is off by default and must be enabled. HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is supported only on 4LFF chassis or on the optional 2SFF SAS/SATA Kit when selected with the 8SFF chassis or the 8SFF SFF NVMe chassis. A maximum of 4 devices can be connected to HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID. HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID can support M.2 SSDs

The DL325 Gen10 Supports type-a Smart Array cards. If you install a Performance Smart Array RAID Controller, the HPE Smart Storage Battery (P01366-B21) is required and sold separately. A Type-A Smart Array can the secondary PCI riser take up the same slot and can't be installed together.

The DL180 Gen10 has different drive setups.

The 8 SFF can be upgraded with either an additional 2SFF SAS/SATA kit for a total 10 SAS/SATA drives or 2SFF NVMe Kit for a total of 8 SAS/SATA + 2 NVMe drives.

The NVMe chassis can be upgraded with either an additional 2SFF NVMe kit for a total of 10 NVMe drives or 2SFF SAS/SATA kit for a total of 8NVMe + 2 SAS/SATA drives.

Only one of the 2 SFF SAS/SATA, 2 SFF NVMe, or ODD can be selected at any time.

HPE DL325 Gen10 M.2 Drives
The HPE Universal SATA 6G AIC HHHL M.2 SSD Enablement Kit (878783-B21) is supported by the DL325 Gen10 Rack Server. The Universal SATA M.2 Kit above will require a PCIe slot and support up to two of the same M.2 cards.

HPE DL325 Gen10 PCI Risers
A secondary Low-Profile riser cannot be installed with a Modular Type-A Smart Array Option. Both the controller and the PCI card take up the same space in the 1U Rack Server. The Secondary Riser and the Serial Port Enablement kit take up the same PCIe Slot 3. They can't be installed together.
If you want to install a FlexibleLOM card, there is a dedicated slot on the system board for these cards.

The DL325 Gen10 CTO supports PCI Workload Accelerators and an NVIDIA T4 16GB Computational Accelerator for HPE (R0W29C). HPE DL325 Gen10 GPU Enablement Kit (P10779-B21) is mandatory to use any accelerator. GPU can be supported only in slot 1 of the primary riser.

Mixing of 2 different power supplies is NOT allowed. HPE DL325 Gen10 Redundant Power Supply Enablement Kit (P04983-B21) is mandatory to use any of the following Flex Slot PSUs.

The HPE 500W FIO Power Supply offers Gold-certified 80 Plus power efficiency up to 92% with an optimized set of features for non-redundant power configurations for DL325 Gen10. HPE Flexible Slot (Flex Slot) Power Supplies share a common electrical and physical design that allows for hot plug, tool-less installation into HPE ProLiant Gen10 Performance Servers. Flex Slot power supplies are certified for high-efficiency operation and offer multiple power output options, allowing users to "right-size" a power supply for specific server configurations. This flexibility helps to reduce power waste, lower overall energy costs, and avoid "trapped" power capacity in the data center.

All CTO servers are Energy Star 2.1 compliant. Please note that CTO servers do not ship with Rail Kits, they need to be ordered separately.

If you choose a 7xx2 AMD Processor the system board that supports that CPU does not come with the Embedded 4x 1GbE Adapter.

If you want a Serial port in the back of the 1U Rack Server the HPE DL325 Gen10 Serial Port Enablement Kit (P05045-B21) is your option. Since this takes up the same slot as the Low Profile Secondary Riser. It can't be installed if there is a Type-A Smart Array installed.

ECS Warranty Information

Express Computer Systems (ECS) provides a 1 year parts warranty against defects in material or workmanship that will affect the products functionality. All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.

Important notes:

  • Please ask for additional warranty/coverage that you may require in addition to the standard 1 ECS warranty prior to final purchase. Requesting additional warranty after your purchase can be denied.
