The Dell PowerEdge T710 features include the performance of Intel Xeon processor 5500 and 5600 series, the availability of up to 16 hard drive discs, DDR3 memory, excellent I/O capacity, and available redundant power.

The PowerEdge T710 was developed with a purposeful design—energy-optimized technology, advanced virtualization capabilities and simplified systems management.

Purposeful design

The PowerEdge T710 takes advantage of Dell’s outstanding system commonality and reliability. Consistent component layout and purposeful placement of interface ports and power supplies enable easy installation and redeployment. The PowerEdge T710 purposeful design provides a standard LCD screen positioned by the front of the bezel for ease of monitoring.

Robust, metal hard drive carriers and organized cabling are designed to improve component access and airflow across the server. Designed for easy rack installation, the PowerEdge T710 offers an all-steel cable management arm to help eliminate creep.

Energy-optimized technology

Energy efficiency is designed at the system level on the PowerEdge T710 to help reduce power consumption while increasing performance capacity. Improvements include enhanced power supply units, an efficient fan design, and policy-driven power management.

Customer-Inspired Design

The Dell PowerEdge T710 offers customer-inspired usability with excellent system and image commonality. The PowerEdge T710 features a clean, logical layout of components and power supply placement for quick installation and simplified deployment.

An interactive LCD provides system health monitoring, alerts and control of basic management configuration from the front of the server. A built-in AC power meter and ambient temperature thermometer can be monitored from the LCD without software tools.

With up to 16 hard drives and up to 144GB of memory, the Dell PowerEdge T710 is ideal for large capacity computing. A customer inspired design provides excellent system commonality along with a clean, logical layout of components and power supply placement for quick installation and simplified deployment.

Dell next-generation PowerEdge T710 server offers enhanced system performance and more virtual machine per server capacity than previous generations.

Dell also provides a smart path to virtualization — a path grounded in choice and defined by industry standards. Customers can choose their hypervisor from developers such as VMware or Microsoft, enabling virtualization with a few clicks of a mouse.

Cooling & Fans

The Dell PowerEdge T710 comes with 1 Processor and 18 DIMMs. That is a lot of DIMMs to keep cool and it does this by supplying 4 rear fans. These 4 Rear fans are accompanied by an Air Shroud that drives the airflow most efficiently through the server. These 4 Hot-Swappable fans are placed in the rear of the server in a fan cage. There are no other options for fans or heat sinks.

The Dell™ PowerEdge™ T710 uses DDR3 memory providing a high-performance, high-speed memory interface capable of low latency response and high throughput. T710 supports Registered ECC DDR3 DIMMs (RDIMM) or Unbuffered ECC DDR3 DIMMs (UDIMM).

Embedded NICs/LAN on Motherboard (LOM)

The Dell™ PowerEdge™ T710 system board has two embedded dual-port Broadcom® 5709C Gigabit Ethernet controllers as independent Ethernet interface devices. This provides four LOM ports for the server. Both controllers enabled for TCP Offload Engine (TOE), with optional iSCSI offload engine (iSOE).

Storage Controllers

T710 supports a choice of internal hard drive controllers. The internal controller is placed in the dedicated storage slot on the motherboard.

SAS 6/iR

The integrated SAS 6/iR HBA is a half-length expansion card that plugs into a dedicated PCIe x8 storage slot (only wired for x4). It incorporates two four-channel SAS IOCs for connection to SAS/SATA hard disk drives. It is designed in a form factor that will allow the same card to be used in the R710, R610 and T710 platforms. SAS 6/iR is only supported when the 3.5‖ x8 backplane is present.


The PERC H700 card has its own processor with a PCI Express Gen2 host interface and DDR2 memory and installs into the dedicated internal storage slot. A battery is also available for backup. It supports the internal 6 Gb/s backplane interface for internal storage options (SAS, SATA, or SSD HDD). The PowerEdge T610 supports both 512MB and 1GB cache options on the internal H700.


The H200 SAS HBA is an expansion card that incorporates two four-channel 6 Gb/s SAS IOCs for connection to SAS hard disk drives.

PERC 6/i

The PERC 6/i is a half-length PCIe x8 expansion card that uses the LSI 1078 ROC (RAID on Chip) processor with a PCI Express host interface and 256MB cache. A battery is also available for backup.

Express Computer Systems (ECS) provides a 1 year parts warranty against defects in material or workmanship that will affect the products functionality. All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.

  • Please ask for additional warranty/coverage that you may require in addition to the standard 1 ECS warranty prior to final purchase. Requesting additional warranty after your purchase can be denied.
