The HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 System offers revolutionary storage density in a 4U form factor. Fitting in HPE standard 1075 mm rack, with one of the highest storage capacities in any 4U server with standard server depth. When you are running Big Data solutions, such as object storage, data analytics, content delivery, or other data-intensive workloads, the HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 System allows you to save valuable data center space.
Its unique, density-optimized 4U form factor holds up to 60 large form factor (LFF) drives plus an additional two hot-plug small form factor (SFF) and/or internal M.2 drives. For configurability options, the LFF and SFF slots support SAS or SATA disk drives and SSDs, while the SFF and M.2 slots also support NVMe drives.
The HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 System offers enterprise data centers dense storage and compute capabilities for Big Data Solutions, such as object storage or data analytics solutions.
Up to 60 hot-plug front-loaded Large Form Factor (LFF) disk drives load into two drawers, delivering up to 840 TB per system.
Supports Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 26 cores and memory speeds up to 2933 MT/s providing the improved computing power for massive Big Data applications.
The HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 System can fit in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise standard 1075 mm rack with 2 front loading disk drive drawers and can support up to 60 LFF hot-plug drives.
Enterprise customers who are looking for larger data capacity with standard racks in their data centers can scale out the data center capacity without deploying 1200 mm or deeper racks.

The HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 System combined with our industry standard HPE ProLiant Gen10 Servers deliver firmware anchored directly into the silicon, with security protection built in across the server life-cycle starting with Silicon Root of Trust.
Millions of lines of firmware code run before server operating system boots and with Runtime Firmware Validation, enabled by HPE iLO Advanced Premium Security Edition, the server firmware is checked every 24 hours verifying validity and credibility of essential system firmware.
Secure Recovery allows server firmware to roll back to the last known good state or factory settings after detection of compromised code.
Additional security options are available with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to prevents unauthorized access to server and securely stores artifacts used to authenticate the server platforms while the Intrusion Detection Kit logs and alerts when the server hood is removed.
HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 Base Knowledge
The Apollo 4510 Gen10 4U Rack server has up to 2 processors supported. Mixing different processor models is not supported. The 4510 Gen10 Server has a single XL450 Node that holds 2 SFF drives while the Apollo 4510 holds up to 60 LFF Drives. When two processors are selected a minimum of three power supplies per chassis is required.
There are 16 DIMM slots available with 2 processors, 6 channels per processor, Up to 2 DIMMs per channel. LRDIMM, RDIMM maximum memory capacity is 1024 and 512 GB. Mixing of RDIMM and LRDIMM memory is not supported. HPE Persistent Memory featuring Intel® Optane™ DC persistent memory is only supported with select 2nd-generation Intel Xeon Scalable Series Processors ONLY (62xx/52xx/4215) and can only be mixed with either RDIMMs or LRDIMMs. PMEM maximum 512GB per processor/socket.
HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID will operate in UEFI mode only. If you plan to install SAS drives in the XL450. You will need to install one of the following. E208i-a and P408i-are connect to the 2 SFF drives in the server node and provide the capability for (up to) 12G SAS or 6G SATA hardware RAID/HBA functionality. If any of the Smart Array Performance RAID Controllers (P series) is installed. They require the purchase of one of the HPE 96W Smart Storage Battery (up to 20 Devices) with a 145mm Cable Kit (P01366-B21).

HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10NVMe Drives
If SFF NVMe SSDs are selected, an HPE Smart Array controller is not required. The NVMe drives can only be installed in the XL450 2 SFF Drive slots. The main Chassis only supports HDD or SSD in a 3.5” Form Factor.

Two (2) M.2 22110 NVMe drive slots in the HPE ProLiant XL450 Gen10 Server. You can save room and make the boot more efficient when using the HPE NS204i-p x2 Lanes NVMe PCIe3 x8 OS Boot Device (P12965-B21).
HPE Apollo 4510 Gen10 PCI Risers
With 2 Processors installed, all 3 PCIe slots are available along with the FlexibleLOM adapter which does not take up a PCIe slot. The Apollo 4510 Gen10 ships with 2x 1 Gb Ethernet ports embedded. If any SAS drives are installed, you be required to select one of the Smart Arrays. If any of the Performance arrays are installed, you will then need to also add the HPE 96W Smart Storage Battery (up to 20 Devices) with a 145mm Cable Kit (P01366-B21).
