The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server offers market-leading storage capacity among 2U storage servers, supporting up to 28 Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-plug drives or 54 Small Form Factor (SFF) hot-plug drives.

Object storage customers looking for a low cost-per-Gigabyte solution, the LFF model fits up to 224 TB of storage using 8 TB drives. This means that a 42U rack of HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Servers can fit over 4.4 PB! For higher storage capacities consider the HPE Apollo 4510 Chassis.

With high performance Hadoop based workloads, the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server can support up to 54 SAS or solid state disks (SSD) SFF drives with 12 Gb/s throughput and 15K revolutions per minute.

No special racks required, it is designed to accommodate hundreds of terabytes per server, but fits right into most pre-existing racks.

The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server is a perfect match for parallel processing applications like Hadoop, with up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600v3 or E5-2600v4 processors per server that can reach up to 44 cores.

Object stores needing fast performance with small objects, or in-memory data processing for analytics software, the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server offers up to 1024 GB of DDR4 memory (16 DIMM slots).

Embedded 2x1GbE, HPE FlexibleLOM expansion slot, and up to five (5) low profile PCIe slots to give flexibility for future I/O upgrades, so that you can adapt your networking bandwidth as your application throughput demands evolve.

Embedded HPE Smart Array P840ar Controller with expanders supports up to 54 drives with one controller. The chassis can support up to three controllers providing point-to-point connectivity to SSDs to reduce latency.
