Tower-to-Rack Conversion
The HPE ML30 Gen10 Plus Tower server can easily be converted into a Rack server by simply adding the HPE ML Gen10 Tower to Rack Conversion Kit (874578-B21). This kit is everything you need to get “Sliding”. This rail kit comes with the rail tray that the server sits on top of and is mounted to from the back. The server tray is that actual piece mounted to the rails that slide out for easy access to the server.
Which Chassis should I choose?
HPE has provided three different CTO models to choose from. Each comes with 4 PCIe 3.0 Slots, and an embedded storage controller IntelVROCSATA (formerly known as Intel® RSTe). The VROC SATA comes with 4 SATA ports for drive bays, 2 SATA ports for media bays or HPE Universal SATA AIC HHHL M.2 SSD Kit (878783-B21), and an additional 1 SATA via onboard M.2 slot. All the models also feature an embedded Broadcom BCM5720 Ethernet 1Gb 2-port BASE-T Adapter. The HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen10 Plus server offers the customer a dual-port NIC as standard with the option to upgrade with a variety of networking options. The HPE ML30 Gen10 Plus does not support internal RAID Controller E208i-p and P408i-p in Non-Hot-Plug models nor does it support internal Smart Array or Tri-Mode controllers. Starting March 1st, 2020, only the 350W Gold-levelPSU (power supply) and the 500WPSU meet the European Union (EU) Lot 9 regulation requirement for CE marking. Do not order the Bronze-level 350WPSU (820303-B21) in countries that require CE marking, especially the EU countries.
Flex Hot-Plug Power Supply Enablement Kit
To go from the 300W Non-Hot-Plug Power Supply Unit (PSU) (P21652-B21) to the Flex Slot Platinum 500W Power Supply Unit (PSU) (865408-B21). You’ll need the enablement cage (686665-001), the Flexible Slot power distribution board (P48076-001), and the cable kit (P07485-001). If you only install one of the Hot-Plug Redundant Power Supplies, then you’ll also need the Flexible Slot Power Supply Blank (775423-001) to keep the airflow optimal.
What Graphics Accelerators Can Be Used?
Unlike the ML30 Gen10 the Ml30 Gen10 Plus does not support GPU Accelerators.
How to Keep Cool?
If you install the M.2 SSD dedicated iLO module (P06687-B21), the HPE NS204i-p x2 Lanes NVMe PCIe3 x8 OS Boot Device (P12965-B21), the HPE Universal SATA 6G AIC HHHL M.2 SSD Enablement Kit (878783-B21), any PCI-e Cards or you select the 4 LFF Hot-Plug or the 8 SFF Hot-Plug Chassis. Then the HPE ML30 Gen10 Front PCI Fan and Baffle Kit (P06303-B21) is required. Except if you choose the Non-Hot-Plug Chassis with the E208e-p controller and 1Gb network adapters.
The HPE ML30 Gen10 Front PCI Fan and Baffle Kit (P06303-B21) comes with the air Baffle (P07477-001) and the PCI fan (P06530-001).
