The FAS6200 series offers proven SAN performance, superior flash integration, and leading scale-out capabilities to meet a broad range of performance needs while seamlessly scaling to over 69PB.
The FAS6200 series includes High-Availability (HA) capabilities as well as advanced risk identification and service analytics that accelerate fault isolation and resolution, minimizing potential down-time, and accelerating return to service. Each model in the FAS6200 series is designed to offer enterprise performance that can scale to deliver many gigabytes per second and hundreds of thousands of IOPS to satisfy the most demanding workload challenges. All models offer extensive high-bandwidth connectivity options for 10GbE, 8Gb FC and 6Gb SAS and support a range of disk shelves and media that let you optimize for capacity, density or performance.
The FAS6280 takes full advantage of the 64-bit Data ONTAP 8 operating system as well as the 24 cores and 192GB of memory. The FAS6280 can utilize up to 1440 drives and supports a maximum raw capacity of 4320TB. FAS6280 supplies a maximum of 16TB Flash Cache as well as 192GB of memory. With 24 PCIe Expansion Slots and support for FC, FCoE, IP SAN (iSCSI), NFS, CIFS, HTTP and FTP, the scalability is almost endless.
