Our Goal: Reduce, Reuse. Recycle, Refurbish

Our company recognizes the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all. We’ll always follow best practices when disposing garbage and using chemical substances. Express Computer Systems at its core is a sustainable business model. ECS sells and buys Refurbished equipment that would otherwise be in the landfill. We work with our suppliers to guarantee as little waste as possible. While also preaching this same mindset in our day-to-day operations.

Human rights
No one likes traffic and the carbon footprint from cars is in America during 2021 was 29% of the U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. Since we have a shipping department, we are highly critical of our own footprint. Other departments are given that ability to work from home. Which greatly reduces Express Computer Systems Carbon footprint. While the shipping department recycles most of the cardboard and metal scraps to authorized recyclers in our own city.

Protecting the environment
Servers and most IT business take a lot of power to run. That’s why we at Express Computer Systems allow working from home to lower the amount of electricity we use at this building. We have our IT room with lowered sealings and sealed off from the rest of the shipping department. This greatly lowers the BTU’s need to cool the room while working on the refurbished servers.

Protecting people
Our employees have also joined in with this sustainable mindset we have here at Express Computer Systems. Most employees bring their own lunch and have sustainable water bottles.  The employees that are not working at home try to carpool, which not only saves on gas and the carbon footprint of Express Computer Systems. But also makes for a great atmosphere and team building when everyone has the same goal as the company. Efficiency and sustainability.

Proactiveness
Every day we are trying to make our B2B and B2C operations more efficient with sustainability in mind. Our customers are given not only the equipment but also the knowledge from our IT support section to use the equipment. We want to make sure the equipment is being used properly and if its not being used. We will buy the equipment, upgrade or dismantle if needed for other builds. Here at Express Computer Systems, nothing goes to waste.
